Q. (9) I have poor digestion. Is chiropractic therapy effective to improve the functions of the internal organs?
-> Go to Stomachache
A:
While no direct approach to treat gastric disease is used, we use chiropractic therapy to improve the functions of the internal organs by making an adjustment on one area of the upper cervical vertebrae.
The therapy corrects the flow of the nervous system that runs from the brain to the organs, and improves the accuracy of information sent from each organ to the brain. Once the brain has been provided with all the necessary instructions, it is able to concentrate on coping with any disorders, such as stomachache, that occur within the body. This curing mechanism is characteristic of causal treatment.
The mechanism of digestion and absorption starts as you put food into your mouth. The therapy first improves the function of the salivary gland. It then continues to enhance the rest of the process, including excretory functions. As a result of these improvements, gastric function begins to improve naturally.
As the therapy also corrects the flow in the automatic nerve, improvements will also be seen in internal problems such as upset stomach, stomach discomfort, and inflammation of the gastric mucosa.
